Women in Willow
Encouragement for Women on the Journey of Faith

Thank you for your interest
As a leader’s wife for many years, both in the church and for the past 13 years alongside Graeme as he presently leads the Willow Creek Association UK & Ireland, I have come to appreciate the pressures that the role can create and the spin off effect it can have on the main support person.
As the wife of a leader, I know of some of the difficulties associated with leadership responsibilities. A sense of aloneness, isolation, discouragement and a trying to find my own place of function that was fulfilling.
If you a woman leader or wife of a leader and relate to what I am trying to express, you may also share the same desire to encourage each other in our respective roles.
“Women in Willow” started in Spring 2006 to fulfil this aim. It is designed to be an encouragement ministry through CD’s/DVD’s and resources. As God leads we are also open to creative avenues of ideas, inspiration and the sharing of yourstory and life experiences.
Here is a message for you entitled 'Nice Girls Don't Change the World' by Lynne Hybels, wife of Pastor Bill Hybels, together with a magazine interview with her from 2005. You may also be interested to visit Lynne's website 'Dangerous Women'.
If you wish to be part of “Women in Willow” you can apply below or by phoning the WCA UK & Ireland office on 023 8071 0295. There is an annual subscription of £35 | €65 just to cover costs.
It is our intention to send a tape or CD each month along with other material that will encourage and uplift.
This is only the first step and by God’s Grace it will expand.
Kind regards
Helen Paris
