Training

Equipping Local Churches

Training is an integral part of the WCA vision for equipping and resourcing the local church for ministry. Our training seeks to help churches achieve the vision of reaching lost people whilst building biblically functioning communities.

We encourage church teams to take time out together and attend WCA conferences as a group. These provide great opportunities for team building and vision alignment.

WCA Courses

Each course comes with its own Leader's Guide together with details on how to implement it within your church. The courses offered below provide churches with additional options for running their course more effectively.

1-Day Train the Trainer

Enables participants to run a specific course in the local church with confidence. The day comprises 6 1-hour sessions which present key aspects of the course, together with powerpoint and video demonstrations, and tips & suggestions on ‘do’s and don’ts’ of each session.

Scheduled courses take place at WCA Southampton. Alternatively, a course could be organised at a venue of your choice (min. 20 participants). This could enable several churches within a locality to benefit from the training.

Please email us to register your interest.

1-Day Courses Overview

Provides a familiarisation of all four WCA courses. The day comprises 4 1½-hour sessions. Each session provides an overview of a different course. Each overview presents the course aims and objectives, strategy, and tools for presentation.

Scheduled courses take place at WCA Southampton. Alternatively, a course could be organised at a venue of your choice (min. 20 participants). This could enable several churches within a locality to benefit from the training and plan their ministry programme.

WCA Led Course

Enables church members to be united together in the training experience as an external WCA Registered Trainer leads the course. The courses can be presented successfully in any of the following formats:

Four sessions of two hours each
Eight sessions of 1 hour each
One, two, or three-day retreats
Or adapt it to fit the needs of your church!

Training Feedback

Bill, an accountant, never really shared his faith at work, but as a result of the training he has become more purposeful and able to share with his colleagues at work and has been able to maintain his witness in what sometimes can be quite a hostile environment.  In a very natural way he looks forward to the fruit of sharing his faith in a very relational bur purposeful way. Thanks for the material. John Seddon, PFJ Ministries

Network...the best tool I have found for moving people from drudgery to delight in their service for the Lord. Denis Lomax, The Salvation Army - East Scotland Division

An Ordinary Day with Jesus is a superb course that potentially transforms peoples’ relationship with God into a genuine “walk with the Lord” – we’ve been using it with established believers and with those fresh from Alpha, and all appreciate it! Paul Harcourt, Vicar, All Saints’ Woodford Wells
